Local development tools

Toolchain Setup currently exposes status and installation controls for ten development components.

Alpine Linux Runtime.
Ubuntu Linux ARM64.
Node.js + Next.js.
Python 3 + pip.
Rust + Cargo.
Git.
Android JDK 21.
Android SDK.
Flutter + Dart.
Wireless ADB.
02

Installation order matters

VauCode disables dependent installs until their prerequisites are ready. For example, Node/Python/Rust/Git/JDK/ADB depend on the base Linux runtime, Android SDK depends on JDK, and Flutter depends on Ubuntu ARM64 + JDK + Android SDK.

03

Status, progress and logs

Each tool shows readiness. Install flows expose logs, and larger downloads such as Node, JDK, Android SDK and Flutter also surface installation progress/stage information.

04

Copy logs for troubleshooting

Expand a tool card and copy its installation logs when you need to share an error or compare what happened during setup.
