01

Create a native Android project

Choose Android — Kotlin + Jetpack Compose from New Project. The starter project uses Compose rather than an XML starter UI.

02

Build, install and launch

Use VauCode's Android run command to build the debug app, install it and launch it.

03

Live Edit workflow

VauCode-created Compose projects can use the supported Live Edit workflow for faster UI iteration after the required initial setup/run.

04

When Live Edit cannot auto-migrate

For an older/custom Android project, VauCode may stop automatic Live Edit preparation when the main activity contains custom code. In that case, use a VauCode-created Compose project or follow the manual project structure expected by the Live Edit workflow.
