User-focused documentation: this guide explains what a person can do in VauWrite, how the current controls behave and what to expect during normal document work.
01

Import from the Dashboard

Tap Import .vwd / .docx and choose a Word file, or drag and drop a .docx onto the Dashboard.

02

DOCX file limit

The current importer accepts .docx files up to 80 MB.

03

Content VauWrite can convert

The current importer reads common Word content into editable VauWrite content.

Paragraphs and line breaks
Title and Heading 1–3 styles
Left, center, right and justified paragraph alignment
Bold, italic, underline and strikethrough text
Tabs and basic text runs
Tables, including readable nested tables
Embedded PNG, JPEG/JPG, GIF and WebP images
04

Import is a conversion

A .docx import converts compatible content into VauWrite’s editable document model. Word-specific features that VauWrite does not support may not reproduce exactly, so review the imported pages before continuing work.

05

Unreadable or corrupted Word files

If the file is corrupted, missing readable document content or not actually a .docx, VauWrite reports an import error instead of creating a broken document.
