User-focused documentation: this guide explains what a person can do in VauWrite, how the current controls behave and what to expect during normal document work.
01

A strong end-to-end workflow

Use this sequence for most professional documents.

01

Create or import

Start blank, choose a template, import Word .docx or open a native .vwd.

Expected result: The document opens in VauWrite.
02

Name and structure

Give it a clear title and use Heading 1–3 for sections.

Expected result: The document is easier to find and Outline becomes useful.
03

Write and format

Use text styles, fonts, colors, spacing, lists and alignment.

Expected result: The written content has a clear hierarchy.
04

Add document elements

Insert tables, images, links, checklists, rules and page breaks where needed.

Expected result: The document includes supporting structure and visuals.
05

Set pages

Choose paper size, orientation, margins, headers/footers and page numbers.

Expected result: The pages match the intended output.
06

Review

Use Find, Outline, Comments and Version history.

Expected result: Errors and review points are easier to resolve.
07

Save

Confirm the editor shows Saved before closing or switching devices.

Expected result: Your latest version is committed.
08

Share or export

Create a Viewer/Commenter link or export PDF, Word or VWD.

Expected result: The document is ready for its next audience or workflow.
02

Image will not upload

Check that the file is PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF and under 10 MB.

03

Word import fails

Confirm the file ends in .docx, is not corrupted and is 80 MB or smaller. Older .doc files are not the current Word import format.

04

Outline is empty

Apply Heading 1, Heading 2 or Heading 3 to section titles. Normal paragraphs do not become outline entries.

05

Recipient cannot comment

Check whether you generated a Viewer link. Create a Commenter link when the recipient needs commenting controls.

06

Newer version exists — reload

Reload before continuing. This message means a newer saved version already exists than the copy currently being edited.

07

You edited while offline

Keep the tab/browser data intact and use Restore if VauWrite later shows an Unsaved local draft prompt.

08

Exported Word layout needs adjustment

Advanced image placements may not look identical in another word processor. Review the exported .docx and make final compatibility adjustments there if needed.
