Dropdown
Use Dropdown when you want a compact list and the respondent should choose one answer.

Multiple Choice
Use Multiple Choice when the main options should remain visible and only one answer should be selected.

Checkboxes now use a two-choice model
The current Checkbox field supports up to two configured choices. This is useful for paired selections, acknowledgements or simple yes/no-style combinations.

Only one or Both allowed
Checkbox settings include a selection rule. Choose Only one when the two options must be mutually exclusive, or Both allowed when the respondent may select either option or both. New checkbox fields default to Both allowed.

Manage choices
You can rename or remove checkbox choices, but the current checkbox editor prevents adding more than two. Dropdown and Multiple Choice continue to use their normal option-list workflow.

Rules are applied to respondents
The public form follows the configured checkbox mode, and invalid extra selections are not accepted when the response is submitted.
