Required rule
Turn on Required when a response must contain an answer before it can be submitted.

Field width
Choose Full width for long or important questions. Choose Half width when two compact fields work naturally side by side on a larger screen.

Text rule: Maximum characters
Short Answer and Long Answer fields now provide Maximum characters. Blank means unlimited; a configured limit is shown to respondents with a live counter and enforced on submission.

Checkbox rule: selection mode
Checkbox fields now support no more than two choices and provide Only one or Both allowed. Use Only one for mutually exclusive choices and Both allowed when the respondent may select both.

Other field-specific controls
Choice fields manage options, Rating can switch between stars and numbers, and Divider has its own appearance controls. The exact controls shown depend on the selected field type.

Test rules before publishing
Use Preview/Test after changing a rule. Enter text near its character limit and try both checkbox states so you know the respondent experience matches your intention.
